The Old Station Tea House

Our story begins in 1904 with the construction of the original Marian Railway Station, fast forward to 1994 - its a different world now and the old railway station’s place in the community has changed. Unloved and neglected the building is no longer used and is just sitting waiting for a new role. One Saturday morning we were reading the paper and came across a tender notice for the removal of the old girl. Out of curiosity we went for a drive to have a sticky beak and fell in love. Marian whispered in our naive, shell pink ears and we were in love. We submitted our tender and won, then we had four weeks to move the building and clear the site. And so Marian came to be located on our property at Cape Hillsborough. The Marian Station is now the focus for a unique venue set in lush tropical gardens. The Teahouse is the perfect stop for a delicious devonshire tea, homemade cakes or a light lunch. Wood fired pizza on Saturday and Sundays is a specialty. The venue is a popular destination for weddings and special events with a large seating capacity yet intimate enough for small gatherings. Take advantage of on site catering with a variety of packages to suit all budgets. High Tea is a speciality and is a great way to celebrate birthdays, baby and bridal showers.
